Would you like to help your favourite good cause without leaving your office – or even your desk? Payroll giving was introduced to offer an easy and tax-efficient way for people to donate to any charity directly from their pay. The charities also get more money because donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 78p, and if you're a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p. For example if you agree to give £10 a month it only costs you either £7.80 or £6 depending on your tax .
